Review: COSRX Centella Blemish Cream

Greetings~!

I'm back again with yet another product review from my Wishtrend haul which you can read all about here.

Product Info:

Brand: COSRX
Product: Blemish cream
Size: 30ml
Price: USD19.80 (not including shipping)
Where to buy: Wishtrend (ongoing promotions or special deals will be listed down below)

Additional Info: (pictures & info in this section is taken from wishtrend.com)

Packaging:

Front part of the box:

Side part of the box:

Back part of the box:

Other side:

Top part of the box:

Bottom part of the box:

Once lid is lifted:

Comes with a spatula:

Rather small bottle:

Appearance is exactly like its box:

Back part of bottle:

Twist kind of cap:

Lid comes with a lil handle for ease of opening:

Size:

30ml. About the same size as the ciracle red spot cream which you can read all about here

Texture:

Its texture is more like a normal cream type moisturiser. White but once applied, can be blended out easily.

Scent:

It actually smells exactly the same as the Ciracle Red Spot cream.

My Experience:

Used this as a pimple/blemish cream rather than a moisturiser which makes this lasts so much longer than if used as a moisturiser. Applied on pimples and scars every night. Pimples reduced greatly. This does not break me out. Scars are lightened though I'm not sure if it's just this or combination of the OST serum as well as the water-gel which you can read all about here and here. I do not apply this during daytime, only at night.

Pros:

Minimises pimples & blemishes
Lightens scars (though again I'm not sure if it's because of this or combination of other products)
Lasts really long!

Cons:

Can only be found on Wishtrend
No place to keep the spatula ( I love Naruko because you can keep the spatula on the lid inside the bottle, wish they designed it that way as well)

Conclusion:

Great as a blemish cream!

Will I repurchase?

Yes

back part of bottle

screw type cover with dropper

size of dropper

clearer view of the dropper

Scent:

I don't really know how to describe the smell. I didn't like it though. Have you ever gone for a facial? I did, once. This ampoule smelled alot like the one they used in that salon I went to. I just can't describe the smell.

Texture:

           yellowish gel

I know the picture taken isn't clear and all but I hope you guys get how the consistency is like

Experience:

I was so excited to try this at the very beginning. Used this religiously everyday, in the mornings and in the evenings. Experienced breakouts. Stopped using this to find out if it was the cause of my breakouts. Unfortunately yes, this is the reason. When I stopped using this, my pimples disappeared slowly. When I start using this again, pimples pop out like crazy. :(

Conclusion:

It may work for others but it certainly doesn't work for me.

Will I repurchase?:

Absolutely not.

Review: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil

Greetings~!

Product review of the day is the Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil.
I'm sure you've all heard of this incredibly famous brand.

Product Info:

Name: Tea Tree Oil
Brand:

Size: 25ml
Other sizes available: 10ml
Where to buy: Available in all independent pharmacies & chain pharmacies(Guardian, Caring, Watson)
Price: RM30.80 for 10ml
          RM46.80 for 25ml

Packaging:

My box was kind of damaged so I took this picture from Thurday Plantation Malaysia's facebook page.

This is how the bottle looks like when you take it out of the box:

And the bottle's back view:

Texture:

Like any other essential oil.

Smell:

Tea tree scent.

My Experience:

I actually use this together with my moisturiser every single day. This method really helps because I've not been getting any breakouts so far. And mind you that I have acne prone skin.

For before & after pictures, do read my other review on the blemish gel here.

There's no before & after for this review because I use this as an acne prevention product rather than a cure since I'm using the blemish gel as the cure instead.

You may use this as the cure instead. But hey, different people, different preference right?

Tip:

Use any moisturiser of your choice and add 1-2 drops of this tea tree oil. This helps to keep away those nasty acne & pimples.

Sprinkling Gel Cream

Conclusion:

I am so used to adding this to my moisturiser that I feel so weird when I don't. I use this every single day with my moisturiser. It's good to prevent.

Prevention is better than cure!

Will I purchase?:

Absolutely! This is one thing i can't live without.

Note: This product was given to me for review purpose but this does not affect my review in any way.

Greetings~!

Today's review of the day is a blemish gel from a very well known brand, Thursday Plantation.

Product Info:

Name: Tea Tree Blemish Gel
Brand: Thursday Plantation

Price: RM24.80
Where to buy: Guardian, Watson's, Caring & Independent Pharmacies
( pretty much available in every single pharmacy)
Made in Australia

Additional Info:

Suitable for people with blemishes
Apply to blemishes morning & night
Ingredients: Water/Aqua, Polysorbate 60, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Alcohol, Isopropyl Myristate, Carborner, Triethanolamine, Camphor, Limonene.

more information can be obtained from www.thursdayplantation.com

Packaging:

It actually comes in a box but my box was damaged during delivery. Therefore, I will show you a picture of the box taken from https://www.facebook.com/pages/Thursday-Plantation-Malaysia/351302108283482?ref=ts&fref=ts

So, below is a picture taken by me:

This is how the product looks like. It's a tube packaging kind of form.

This is how the back part of the tube looks like:
The info is exactly the same as what you can get from the back of the box.

Texture:

Notice that the front part of the packaging states that this gel is an invisible gel?

This is how the gel looks like when squeezed out of the tube:
Not invisible huh?

This is how it looks like once spread out:

Now, it is invisible!

This is why you can use this gel during the day! Because it is colourless.

Scent:

Know how tea tree smells like? Yea, it smells like that. Well, obviously right? Since it is a tea tree blemish gel.

My Experience:

I have breakouts every now and then since my skin is acne-prone. I use this every morning and night after cleansing on the breakouts. This gel really does soothe the itchiness or pain of the pimple. Those of you who have naturally good skin won't really understand but when you do get those pimple which are huge and red, it hurts. So after applying this, the pain goes away and you won't feel like poking or scratching the pimple. which is very good since this gel keeps your hands at bay.

And you know those tiny pimples that are skin coloured and make you have tons of bumps? Yea those. This gel certainly helps to minimise them ALOT.

Here's a lil before and after picture:
before             after 4 days

Conclusion:

This is really good for those massive pimple & those small pimples.

Will I purchase?:

Yes. Since I have acne-prone skin, this definitely will help me ALOT!

Note: This product was given to me for review purpose but this does not affect my review in anyway.
