If you do not know me well, then you would not know but I am a HUGE Korean fan! Be it Korean products or Dramas or Manhwas ( korean version of manga) !
So, today I will introduce some Korean Dramas that I am currently watching.
1. Jang Ok Jung
Seriously, I can't get enough of this show! It's so awesome! What is it about? It's a show that shows a different side of the infamous lady Jang Hee Bin. She's real you know? In history, it is said that she's one very evil concubine who made the Queen get stripped of her position and became Queen herself only to later die when the King caught her doing some ritual with her brother and a shaman cursing the reinstated Queen. After reading the history about her, I was so interested in the show more. Why? This show tells us how she became evil! You should watch it too! My dad watched an episode and I was explaining the history plus a lil of what he missed and my dad's comment was "I'm not surprised she turned evil". Seriously, the way others treat her. You would be evil too!
2. Mandate of Heaven
So, this show, I'm basically watching this since it's a period drama and Song Ji Hyo is acting in it. I read some comments on netizens criticising Ji Hyo but I couldn't see why when I watched this show. Her acting was not bad. What do netizens expect anyways? Anyways, this show hasn't really given me the addictive thing yet but I'm hoping it will soon!
3. Tasty Road Trip
This show is a food documentary type of show. I watch this almost everyday I think. Every week, different hosts will go to different countries and try their food and all. Really interesting and nice! Not boring like some Food shows. I really like it. So far, I've only watched the Hawaii episodes, the South Africa episodes, Seychelles episodes, Thailand episodes, Taiwan episodes. I think? The Hawaii one was so very very very interesting! I plan to go there after watching this show!
4. Running Man
This is the number one variety show that even non Korean lovers would love this! Even my sis, who hates Korean dramas loves watching this! It's so hilarious & I can't think of anyone who hates this. Basically, they do missions and such but the whole process just seems so fun! I won't really explain much since everyone knows about this! I mean, who hasn't heard of Running Man?
5. Barefoot Friends
This is a new variety show! But I'm loving the first episode so far. The only turn-off for me would be that Eunhyuk from Super Junior is in it. I don't know why but I dislike his attitude and character. Other than that, I'm quite pleased with the casts. One thing for sure is that they kind of want to copy running man in the sense that they also have only one girl. Anyways, this show is about them going to different countries and completing tasks such as living the life of a local which is fun to watch since these people have never even been to these countries, let alone live lives of the locals. They need to earn their own money for food and also accommodation.
6. Dream of the Emperor
And of course my favourite weekend drama, Dream of the Emperor! I blogged about this before. So, no additional info about this. :)
7. You are the best, Lee Soon Shin!
I started watching this since I really really admire IU. Hahaha! Did you know that she's like an inspiration to me? We are the same age but she's just so pretty and cute at the same time. She's a singer but this is her second time acting. truth be told, I didn't expect her acting to be so GOOD! Like seriously, her acting deserves 2 thumbs up! You should watch this! It's about Soon shin achieving her dreams to become an actress with the help of a famous Ceo of Gabi Entertainment, Shin Jun Ho. In this show, she's supposed to be a rather plain and boring girl who is overshadowed by her beautiful and successful sisters. She couldn't achieve anything and was even scammed by a conman. Everything changed when Shin Jun Ho made a bet with his ex girlfriend, Choi Yeona. The bet was that if he could turn Soon Shin who was a nobody to THE actress, Yeona would then join Junho's company. Then, you know, dramas here and there. Well, wanna know more? Watch this! :D
That's about it to Korean shows that I'm currently watching!
I also watch English TV series and all but that would be under another post!
For the second time this year, I won Gmarket's top blogger award. Yay!!
I get 50,000Won to spend each time, and I thought that it'll be nice to share some of it with you guys. It's just a small thank you gesture for reading my blog. It means so much to me that there are people out there who are interested in what I have to say. (:
So enough of the mushy stuff, and let's see what you can win!

It doesn't come in a box. Just by itself. Sealed in plastic.
Notice the plastic seal?
The design is rather cute to me actually. It's simple yet cute!
As usual, the back part of most Korean products will not have English description.
This is how the cap looks like
Remember to open up the cap and tear this seal before using.
Size of product in my hand
It feels like any other normal aloe vera gels. Transparent, no colour.
note: will update on picture of the gel soon!
Below is how the gel looks like:
Notice that it really is just like any other aloe gels? Transparent & colourless!
Below is a picture of how the gel looks like once spread out:
Let it remain as pictured above for about 15 minutes. It will then dry & that's when you should wash it off.
Scent: Smells like aloe vera.
My first thought when I saw this was that it was just an ordinary Aloe vera gel. You know, the type people used as moisturiser? Until I read the info on how to use, this gel, you actually have to wash it off. And you are supposed to use it only 1-2 times a week unlike other aloe vera gel which well, supposed to use everyday if you are using it as a moisturiser. First usage:- I applied this gel on my face and left it for 15 minutes. After that, I washed it off. Felt a very refreshing feeling after washing it off. I think it really does calm down troubled skin. My pimples on my cheeks were acting up again since I'm having my period now. The pimples were kinda itchy. After using this, I didn't feel the itch anymore.
Conclusion: Definitely is for people with troubled skin! If you have pimples or your face feels itchy or red, use this. It helps!
Will I purchase? :
Maybe. I'm not too sure, this is pretty good and price is reasonable. But since it's not locally available here in Penang, this is the main reason why I said maybe. For those staying in Kuala Lumpur, you can always purchase klairs' products in Maxbeauty, Although I'm not too sure whether they have this.
Note: By the way, I have a 10% discount voucher for Wishtrend which can be used till end of May. Condition: minimum is 30 USD
So, if anyone is interested in shopping with Wishtrend and wants a 10% discount, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will gladly give you the code!
So basically in that interview, there was her picture and her skincare routine. When I saw her picture, I could not believe that she faced acne problems before. Her skin is what you would call flawless!
So, I emailed her and ask her in detail on how to cure acne scars as you know, if you have been following my blog, well, you would know that I have uncountable acne scars.
She did not hesitate in recommending me the A'pieu Healing Snail Cream. It looks like this:
Guess what? It was really pricey! One bottle of 50ml is about USD42. And that would be about RM113++. That is totally out of my budget. Not that i don't trust Alice. I do. It's just that the cream was just too expensive. And assuming it does work on me, I would then need to continuously purchase this cream which I plan to but my wallet would be left with a very very big hole.
So, I went on researching about this A'pieu snail cream, the ingredients and so on. And based on my findings, I try searching for similar products but cheaper ones of course.
I then found out about Mizon All in One Repair Snail Cream. I saw it on qoo10 before. It did catch my attention once but I wasn't into snail cream back then.
Now this one, I definitely can buy! It is priced at RM33.60 for a relatively large amount of 75ml!
That's a steal! especially since it has 92% of mucin which is definitely more than the A'pieu's snail cream!
I did come across another snail cream which is TEARS most snail recovery cream before I found Mizon's.
This one is priced at USD29.16 excluding postage. This one has 88% of mucin which again, has more percentage than that of the A'pieu. This one is 50ml.
I was actually considering this at first. I read somewhere that this brand was by Kwon Sang Woo.
Recognise him? I watched his latest drama which I absolutely LOVE!!! Title is King Of Ambition/ Queen of Ambition/ Yawang
Then, I found the Secret Key Snail + EGF Repairing gel Cream!
This one is really cheap! It is 50g but the price is only USD4.92. I did consider this since I read many good reviews on the net about this! I was even considering getting the whole range which consist of cleanser, toner, essence, emulsion.
So, I would like to say the above different brands of snail cream were all part of my lil finding which is based on well, budget and availability.
There are so many other snail creams out there which I can't possibly post all here. So, yea. These are all really good, just depending on how much you are willing to splurge. Well, ok, now I'm lying. I don't know whether they are good or not but I did read reviews on them and the bloggers said that they are. So, personally, I can't confirm. But I will get the Mizon's one and I shall review it once I actually purchase it!
I'm pretty sure everyone has heard of qoo10 by now right? Especially is you are a fan of korean products!
They sell authentic yet unbelievably cheap products! You can't find a cheaper price elsewhere. ok, maybe you can but only very very few products are more expensive than elsewhere.
So, the other day, my mom was telling me that she wanted to buy Laneige's Water Sleeping Pack. She asked me to purchase for her since I was always going on and on and on about cheap Korean products online. She asked if it was cheaper than buying it in Parkson. I was like, hell yea!
So, I started searching for it on qoo10. To my amazement, they do sell it and what's better?
I found the packet version which I think is so so so so much better!
1. Because it is cheaper since they don't manufacture the glass bottle so you don't need to pay for the expensive bottle.
2. you will know the appropriate amount to apply for one application.
3. It is so much more convenient to pack for vacation.
The amount in each packet is 4ml. If you buy 20 packets, it will be equivalent to one bottle. I bought 40, which is equivalent to 2 bottles.
Guess how much was it?
I bought it at RM31.20 including free shipping.
Oh and even though the shipping was free, it was super super fast!
The seller shipped it out on the 13th of May, I got it on the 21st of May. Isn't that speedy for a free delivery?
Want to get korean products at a really good price?
Where to buy: Stay Well Pharmacy, Gurney Plaza
Sizes available: 2 fl oz =59.14ml/ 8 fl oz = 236.59ml/ 16 fl oz= 473ml / 20 fl oz= 591.5ml
In Malaysia, the common sizes are the 8 fl oz and the 16 fl oz. I've never seen the 20 fl oz but I've definitely seen the 1 litre one which is pretty uncommon in Malaysia actually. I've only seen the 1 litre one in Gurney Plaza.
Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser is great for daily makeup removal. Originally formulated for dermatologists, this cleanser is gentle on your skin and sensitive to your skin’s needs. Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser will not strip the skin of natural protective oils or emollients, or disturb the skin’s natural pH balance. This dermatologist-recommended cleanser is fragrance-free and non-comedogenic. Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser is gentle enough for children, teens and adults.
And yes there is no typing error! It really is the cheapest cleanser ever! RM70 for a whooping 1 Litre!
This is one product you should not buy in China though. It is beyond beyond expensive in China! Price of a small 200++ ml bottle is RMB115 if I'm not mistaken. That is like RM55 for a very very little amount!
No distinctive scent or whatsoever.
Although this is a rather inappropriate statement but did you know that TED in the movie TED used Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser in the scene where he pumped it all over his face to impress his fellow colleague in the supermarket? Yup! That is exactly how this cleanser looks like.
This cleanser does not foam no matter how much you try to lather. So, don't bother.
Back in December of 2012, I went to China and it was Winter. My skin became so dry it started peeling like crazy. My skin hurts really bad. I knew I had to get a really gentle cleanser! I was using the Biore Brightening one I think. I knew I had to stop using the Biore one. So, I went to Solana and took an extremely long time scanning through all the cleansers available. There were so many that it was hard. I saw Cetaphil. They displayed so MANY! Like seriously, I whole shelf full of Cetaphil. You will never see that sight ever in Malaysia. So, I grabbed one despite the price after my mom convinced me of course.
When I got back to the apartment, I use this Cetaphil cleanser in the evening as my new face wash! The very next day, my skin was no longer peeling and flakes could no longer be seen! I was impressed. Oh and this cleanser is so gentle that even when it gets in your eyes, it does not sting your eyes! That is how gentle it is!
This is seriously a cure for dry skin!
But I must say this, after using this, you won't feel the 'clean' effect like what some people like. I don't care about that so it wasn't a problem for me.
Super gentle and works well on super dry skin! It stops the flaking and all.
