Packaging:

This is how the product looks like, well, the front part:

Back part containing all the info which I've already listed under additional info. So, no need to strain your eyes to read it here. Just scroll up and read it there. :)

Just wanted to show you guys the cap/opening of the lotion.

As you can see, I just press the "press here" part, and the lotion just squirt out by itself.
WARNING: Lotion is quite runny!

Texture:

Didn't wanna waste excessive lotion so here's a tiny bit. Might not look it but it's really runny. It's not the creamy type, it's the really runny type. Have you guys ever used Fruit of the Earth's cocoa butter lotion? The texture is exactly the same.

in case you were wondering what I'm talking about, the Fruit of the Earth's packaging looks like this:

Scent:

To be honest, the best smelling cocoa butter lotion would definitely be from Palmer & cococare which I did a review on here. Can't decide. This one, on the other hand, not so cocoa butter-ish. More like coconut oil with a hint of cocoa butter smell.

My Experience:

I tried this as a hand lotion, it doesn't feel moisturising enough as a hand lotion actually. I mean, no sticky feeling which is good but your hands will feel dry very soon after and I'm not even talking about hours later.
As a body lotion though, this is quite good. Nuff said.

Pros:

Cheap
Not sticky
BIG size (probably lasts really long)

Cons:

not moisturising enough as a hand lotion
not cocoa butter-ish enough scent

Will I repurchase?:

Yes, why not? With that price & that size, I would continue to purchase it as a body lotion.

Conclusion:

Very cheap and super generous with the amount. Great to use as a body lotion. Definitely pleasant smelling for those who don't fancy strong smelling products.

You can find this product here. Saved you the trouble from scrolling up to see where to buy this.

Note: If you are new to iHerb, do use the code KDB598 for USD10 off your first purchase. I can't stress enough that this code can only be used once & only during your first purchase. So, use it wisely.

Review: Cococare 100% Cocoa Butter

Greetings~!

Here's another product review. Hope you guys aren't bored of me.
As usual, here's a lil info before we go into the details.

Product Info:

Brand: Cococare
Name: 100% Cocoa Butter
Size: 28g
Price: $1.79
Where to buy: iHerb  <===== ( this link will take you directly to the product)

Additional Info (taken from iHerb):

Description
Nature's perfect moisturizer. Ideal for dry skin and stretch marks.
Other Ingredients
Cocoa butter (theobroma cacao).
Warnings
For external use only.

Packaging:

Scent:

The best smelling moisturiser EVER~!
It smells so chocolatey, you'll feel like eating it.

Texture:

I'm not sure if it's just me but it felt really really hard. Too hard that it makes application a tad tough. I would've love it so much more if it glides easily.

My Experience:

I have trouble pushing the product out most of the time. It would've been easier if it was screw type? Like a lipbalm? But it is made in such a way that you have to push it up & down all the time. I actually really hate this product due to the fact that I can't get it out 7 out of 10 times. It is that difficult.

Pros:

Awesome smell~~ ( It's like you are in chocolate heaven)
Cheap
Convenient ( In the sense that it's small so you can bring it everywhere)
Lasts long

Cons:

Not moisturising enough
Hard to push product out sometimes ( not sometimes, most of the times.)

Will I repurchase?:

I don't think so. No matter how good it is & list of pros top the cons but the fact that it is so difficult to get it out just frustrates me to no end. So, this is really not my thing.

Conclusion:

If you are looking for a handy dandy chocolate smelling stick to moisturise when you are out and about, then I guess this is for you. And the fact that you know a lil tip or two to pop the product out easily, then I guess you will love this? Otherwise, yet another cocoa butter stick.

This product may not be to my liking doesn't mean it's not to yours. If you want to buy this, here's the link. Click here.

Note: if you are a new shopper at iHerb, do use this code KDB598 to get USD10 off your first purchase. Use the code wisely as you may only use it once & only during your first purchase.

Back part of the tin

Just wanted to show you a picture of the product from another view other than top & bottom

It's not screw type, its just a tin & a metal lid

Scent:

I'm gonna be honest, I've never smelt raspberries before. But this smells like berries.

Texture:

It is a lip butter. If you were worried that it doesn't glide easily, well, worry not. It glides really really easy. It looks like a regular balm but it is in fact buttery and easy to obtain. Just be careful not to scoop out too much which was what I did the first time.

Size reference:

Truthfully, when I read blog posts about this product online, pictures can be so deceiving. It's not as big as it looks. For reference, I took a picture of this together with a regular sized lip balm. Can you see how small it actually is?

My Experience:

Well, in the texture section, I mentioned I scooped out too much right? Well, yea, that's what happened. I assumed it was balm like since it looked balm like. But little did I know that it was buttery, really buttery. Silly me. :P It glides really well on my lips. Really love the smell of it. But I didn't really like how it left a white film like cast on my lips. So, I use this only at night. I use my other lip balm in the mornings which I will blog about soon. Lips felt smooth the day after.

Pros:

Smells heavenly (if you love fruity smell)
Affordable
Large quantity which can last really long

Cons:

Unhygienic (but I don't mind & all lip butters are like this actually)
Leaves white like film on lips
Not available in Malaysia ( but you guys can get it in iHerb)

Conclusion:

It works well as a lip butter & leaves your lips feeling smooth & supple the very next day if you apply this at night before you sleep

Will I repurchase?:

Yes, definitely! I would love to try out the other scents as well.

Note: Once again, I would love to recommend iHerb to all of you who can't get this product locally. If you are a first time shopper at iHerb, do use the code KDB598 for USD10 off your first purchase. I can't stress enough that this code can only be used once & only during your first purchase, so use it well.

Review: Cococare 100% Vitamin E Oil

Greetings~!

Sorry for the lack of posts even though I did say I would blog more. This time I'm going to review this awesome vitamin E oil which I don't think anyone raved or talked about.

Product Info:

Brand: Cococare
Product: vitamin E oil
size: 30ml
price: $6.05
where to buy: iHerb

Pictures/Product Packaging:

Very practical packaging

Back part with additional info such as directions and brief introduction

\
Screw type cover

Scent:

No fragrance whatsoever, plain old vitamin e oil scent which I find really good since they didn't add all those additional & unnecessary fragrances.

Texture:

Typical vitamin e oil texture. Doesn't blend in so I would not recommend you to use it during daytime. Sticky & oily at the same time, not sure if I'm describing it right. It's oil of thick consistency.

Not sure if you get what I described so here's a lil picture to show you:

My Experience:

Definitely healed scars, I meant, lighten. :)  Used this on my acne scars & acnes as well. I didn't like the oily feeling though. So, I switched & used it on scars on my body instead. I also applied this on my lips at night. I really like the feeling. It's as if putting lip gloss on. Woke up with no chapped lips the day after. This is like a very good lip moisturiser.

Additional: My sis used this on her scars on her legs, and she's been raving this product.

Pros:

Affordable
Big size which lasts very long
Really does lighten scars

Cons:

Could only get this brand online (Malaysia doesn't have this brand)
Oily feeling when used

Conclusion:

I think it works well on scars which are not on the face, and it does an awesome job for cracked lips. So, yea, it does what it claims.

Will I repurchase?:

Yes, I would.

Note: Also, for all of you who are new to iHerb, do remember to use the code KDB598 for USD10 off your first purchase. Remember, codes can only be used once & only during your first purchase. So, use it well! :D

Was so excited my parcel finally came that I couldn't wait till morning to take the pictures under proper lighting. Sorry! :P

The box that I've been waiting for:

I just love opening parcels, I mean, who doesn't?

Sneak peak: XP

First item: The medicated lip ointment from Blistex

Lip medex from Blistex:

Once again, another product from Blistex:

The raved lip butter from Nivea:

Just another flavour:

The reason I ordered from iHerb;

The other reason :

I just needed to stock up on moisturisers:

Just what I need to get through this cold & dry winter:

Did I ever mention how affordable & great Queen Helene's products are?

As you can see, I ordered lots of lip products & moisturisers. I have super dry skin, acne prone too. And well, for my lips, they crack like crazy! (I'm just justifying why I splurge. XP )

What I like:

  • Price of all things on iherb.
  • Everything arrived safely with no leakage. (there were a few dents here & there)
  • The whole process was informed through email
  • They have all these American drugstore brands which you can't get if you're not from America

Disappointments:

  • The need to pay tax. (For your info, this is my 2nd time ordering from China. I didn't need to pay tax for my 1st purchase. i guess it had something to do with the method of shipping. Both times, I used different shipping methods.)
  • Tax can only be paid using Alipay ( I don't have an Alipay account, which made it so difficult)
  • No coupon codes or special discounts for ongoing customers.

Will I repurchase?

After the tax? I'll have to think about it.
But there's no question that I will definitely still order & have the products ship to Malaysia.

Well, once again, if you guys are interested to order from iHerb, do use the code KDB598 for USD10 off your first purchase. And I can't stress enough that this code should be used wisely since codes can only be used once & only during your first purchase.
