Meaning to my name

茹菱 That's my name. It's pronounced ru ling. when the characters are placed together, it gives no meaning whatsoever. But when you translate it word for word, ru actually means eat. And ling for some coincidental reason means water nut. So when you combine this two characters and you translate it, doesn't that make ru ling, eat water nut? And to think people usually think that their names would bring a more significant meaning? I don't hate my name. I just think its super funny! 私の名前はとてもおもしろい~~ Did I get my Japanese correct? I sure need to practise my Japanese!
