Review: (I'm from) Vitamin Tree Water-Gel

Texture:

Basically, colourless. And true to its name, it is watery. If you ever use Laneige's Water sleeping pack, this gel is exactly like that.

Scent:

Smells fresh, very faint fruity smell. Claims to be fragrance free, so I'm guessing it's the natural smell of vitamin? 

My Experience:

Used this every night as a moisturiser. Lasted pretty long. Started using on 11/4, finished on 7/7. About 3 months worth if you use this only at night. I would say it lasts really long since I have a big face actually. And a little goes a long way for this gel since only very small amount is needed to cover the whole face. I absolutely love the watery texture and how easily it glides on my skin. It gives plenty of moisture, I survived winter with this! And mind you that I have dry skin type. This didn't break me out at all. I would say that this gel has lighten my acne scars though I don't know for sure if it's this gel or all the combination of products I used.

Pros:

Lightweight (very light and you won't feel like it's clogging your pores or anything)

Not sticky after applied (I hate how some/most moisturisers tend to make your skin feel slightly sticky)

Big size ( lasted 3 months)
does what it claims

Cons:

Expensive (not high end kind of expensive, but out of my budget)

Conclusion:

If you are looking for the lightweight type of moisturiser which doesn't feel sticky after applied, then this is the right moisturiser for you. Especially if you are aiming for whitening, more to evening out your skintone due to acne scarring. For people with sensitive skin prone to acne breakouts, this gel is definitely for you.

Will I repurchase?

Yes (though I am wishing for better deals as the Wish, try, love deal is already over.)

I'm finally back home which can only mean more blog posts! :)

Personally, I watch all videos by wishtrend tv but was particularly attracted to this deal since I have acne scars and that has always been my major skin concern. So sorry for my very lack of posts! Having finals now, and will be done shortly. Booked my ticket with Cathay Pacific and am finally going home next week! Will definitely blog more when I go home. :)

Btw, just a side note, for those of you staying in China and want to travel back to Malaysia and so on, Cathay Pacific offers ridiculously cheaper rates as compared to AirAsia & Malaysia Airlines, especially when they have special deals. I compared the rates and all that, just my personal opinion. Every time I check, Cathay Pacific is always cheaper.

China Series: How to Get into Banned Sites?

Welcome to my new series, where I'll be introducing about china related things.

In this first post, I'll share the most important thing ever! I know how most of you, if not all are hooked to the internet. You can't live without it right? But which sites do you usually go to anyways? Most people just use Google, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram right? I mean, these are the common ones. Unfortunately, the sites mentioned are all banned in China.

So, how do you go about? And did you know that since google is banned, the app store in your smartphone doesn't work as well? You can't even open it, let alone download any new apps. 

Psiphon

I've used a few VPNs and the one that works the best for me is Psiphon. You can download it on your smartphone & also your laptop (only for Windows user though) 

It's fast, it's reliable, and best part, it's FREE! 

I find that this works best on phones? It never crashed on my phone, ever! But it crashes quite a few times when I used it on my Dell.

I've downloaded this on both my phone & my Dell

With this app, I can use my Instagram & Line. When you on this app, you can also browse any banned sites on the browser app. 

Without this, don't even think of using Instagram. It's banned.

Securitales

For Mac users, you have to find some other options. I paid for it. XP When I'm using my Mac, I use a VPN which I paid for. Have you heard of securitales.com? No? Well, they offer a free trial of just 30 minutes if I'm not mistaken? After you pay, you will be given a special link along with a password. You can then use it. Do note that if you are sharing this with a friend, be sure to never use the link at the same time. It doesn't work that way. But you can use this link on any device. 

Pretty affordable too. Bad thing is that it sometimes crashes. But if that occurs, just email them and they will give you another link. No matter what link they give, you can just use the same username & password. 

For blogging, you can use this to just type, but you can't input any pictures. The pop up for the insert image part just doesn't work for some reason.

Other than not being able to input any pictures when using blogger, I think you can use this for pretty much everything else.

Though be warned that there are a few sites which ban this. 

So far, I think bloglovin bans this? Maybe a few other sites too which I don't use?

There are other options out there which I may or may not have tried out. If I didn't write it here, it just means I didn't like it or never actually tried it before. Do let me know which VPN you use and the pros & cons of it. 

Review: C20 Pure Vitamin C 21.5 Advanced Serum

Here's a look at the product before I continue with a very elaborate review of it:

Texture:

This is to show you that it is colourless as compared to the previous version.

It is absolutely not sticky at all compared to the old version.
Though after your skin has absorbed the serum, when you pat your skin, you'll feel a tad bit sticky

Scent:

Exactly the same scent as the old version.
For those who never tried the previous version, it smells like orange. more like vitamin C tablets?

My Experience:

Just to let you readers know, I've used this for a whole month before actually reviewing this. Have fun looking at the before & after pics of my horrendous skin.


Tried to upload day 1 & after week 1 but my internet is so so so slow. Will update it soon
For now, just have a look at my skin condition after 2 weeks, 3 weeks & 4 weeks.

I must say though, pictures shown might not show any dramatic effect whatsoever but I personally do feel that my skin is healthier. I do realise that bb cream stays on longer & my skin is not as dry as it was before using this product. About acne scars, I don't think this serum does anything. Though, this serum does make my skin look healthier. When I apply bb cream, it looks so so so natural.

Pros:

Skin looks a lot healthier  (I swear, pictures may not show it but my face is no longer dry! :D)
Last long (surprisingly since I have a large face, thought this would only last for a month)
Nice scent  (loving anything fruity :P)
Dropper provided

Cons:

A lil expensive (for me, coz I'm just that stingy)
Can only get it online (but, everyone's loving online shopping now right?)
Does not lighten acne scars (at least not for me)
Hassle to always bring it out from the fridge & then keep it back in the fridge (lazy much?)

Will I purchase?:

Actually, yes. I would but only if the promotion is really good.

Conclusion:

This serum is a highly raved product and for good reasons. It may not have worked out the way I thought it would but it did gave me healthier looking skin which must have been the original purpose of it. Though it did not lighten my acne scars, it might lighten yours since I've seen other bloggers' reviews and this serum did lighten their scars. Probably because my scars are too old? But hey, takes a very long time to heal old acne scars right? I'm not giving up!
